Two exports. One account. Same currency.

Use transactions for the same account and period. CSV / TSV only, up to 5 MB and 10,000 records per file. From Excel, save as CSV UTF-8. Remove title, opening-balance and subtotal rows; keep one header row. Desktop is easier for large files.

What the tool does—and doesn’t do

Conservative matching. Visible reasons.

1. Verify the inputs

Review normalized dates and amounts. Choose date order and decimal style explicitly. Invalid records block the run; nothing is silently skipped. Use one account, one currency and a consistent period.

2. Suggest clear pairs

First: equal reference and signed amount within your date window. Next: a unique equal-amount candidate within that window. A pair must be unique from both sides. Conflicting references, zero amounts and ambiguous candidates stay unmatched.

3. Review and export

Unpair suggestions you disagree with, or manually pair equal amounts with a note. Export the full review. Missing records may be timing differences, fees, errors or incomplete exports—not automatically lost money.

Keep these boundaries in mind

No PDF or XLSX reading, bank connection, foreign-exchange conversion, fuzzy matching, split/batch settlement matching, account-balance certification or accounting-system changes. References are compared after trimming and ignoring letter case; punctuation and leading zeroes are retained. Amounts must match to the cent. No confidence percentages or automatic approvals.

The files, mappings, notes and results stay in this tab’s memory. They are not sent to analytics or stored by this tool. Ordinary site analytics measure page visits and successful non-sample use/downloads, without financial data or filenames.
